How selling fees and profit are calculated
Percentage fees apply to the item price plus shipping charged to the buyer. Payment fees also include the fixed transaction fee. Profit equals customer payment minus item cost, shipping cost, advertising cost and all entered fees.
The break-even item price solves for the price where profit is zero after percentage and fixed fees. Listing fees, taxes, refunds, currency conversion, subscriptions and category-specific charges only affect the estimate if you include them in an input.
