How the estimate works
Pure gold weight equals total weight multiplied by the selected purity. Metal value equals pure gold grams divided by 31.1034768 grams per troy ounce, multiplied by your spot price. Retail estimates add making charges and tax; resale estimates apply your expected buyer payout percentage.
- Karat marks describe the proportion of gold in an alloy, but an assay may differ from the stamp.
- Use the World Gold Council data page or another trusted market source for a current price.
- This is a comparison estimate, not an appraisal, purchase offer or investment recommendation.
